Leadership Springfield Joe Page as 2017 Kenworthy Award winner
This year’s Leadership Springfield Kenworthy Award recipient has been a leader in our community for a wide range of organizations. He has a passion for impacting children, faith, community leadership, economic development, and the accounting profession. If you have ever served with him, you will think of his unassuming demeanor and willingness to step up and take the tasks where others shy away. He has been active in Leadership Springfield, graduating with Class 13 and serving on the Board of Directors including as Treasurer. He has also served as Treasurer for Southeast Rotary Club, the Urban Districts Alliance, the Springfield Jaycees, and the Springfield Catholic Schools Finance Committee. He is the current President for Isabel’s House, Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks. Each of those organizations have been in good hands because this year’s recipient is a Certified Fraud Examiner and is the Managing Partner for The Whitlock Company.
Joe was unanimously recommended as this year’s recipient by the selection committee. While there were many very deserving nominees, the committee always came back to the selection criteria: current member and commitment to Leadership Springfield; involvement in community service activities; good citizenship; outstanding leadership qualities; high moral and ethical standards. Joe embodies each criteria. Joe, please come forward and everyone help me congratulate this year’s O. Franklin Kenworthy Award recipient, Joseph D. Page.
The award was established in 1989 in memory of Franklin Kenworthy, a posthumous graduate of Signature Class 3. Recipients must demonstrate a commitment to Leadership Springfield; involvement in community service activities; good citizenship; outstanding leadership qualities; and high moral and ethical standards.
