Leadership Springfield Classes Announced
Leadership Springfield Announces 2019-20 Signature & Academy Class Participants
Springfield, MO - 100 local leaders will join the Springfield area community leadership program next fall, as Leadership Springfield announces the selection of the Signature and Academy programs.
The Signature Class is Leadership Springfield’s flagship program. For over 30 years, the program has identified leaders and familiarized them with the community’s opportunities, needs, problems and resources. Each year, participants are selected from competitive applications to participate in the nine-month program, which includes two retreats and intensive daylong, once-a-month sessions on a variety of topics.
The Academy Class program was established in 1990 as a way of expanding Leadership Springfield’s reach to a younger generation. The Academy is open to juniors from Springfield public and private high schools as well as homeschool students who reside within the Springfield Public Schools district. Thirty-two students are selected each year for a program that is modeled after the Signature Class. The upcoming program year marks the 30th anniversary of the Academy program.
“We look forward to welcoming another great group of classes,” said Carrie Richardson, Executive Director.
